<image:caption>2020 Rope plied with thrifted t-shirts, dyed with black walnuts, peppercorns, toyon. Toy rifle, Daisy brand; mattress springs; cast concrete Dalmatian head; ladle; unknown object; Trimble brick; unknown objects. The suspended objects have been pulled from the woods around my home in Appalachian Ohio as I slowly collect debris that has been discarded there for years, sometimes decades. Some objects are recognizable--a dog's head, mattress springs, a toy gun. Others are unknowable. Each object is tied and suspended with a rope made from t-shirts worn and discarded locally, and dyed individually with various natural materials.</image:caption>

These photographs were taken in an imagined American “desert landscape”, the Indiana Dunes, and the figures have been made manifest, glitched and pixelated, through the collected bricks of crumbling Midwestern buildings.</image:caption>
